LOWER ANTELOPE CANYON (1 Day)

The canyon’s mesmerizing views transform as sunlight filters through, creating a breathtaking interplay of colors, light, and shadows on its stone walls. Known as Hasdeztwazi or “Spiral Rock Arches” in Navajo, Lower Antelope Canyon’s formation over millions of years by water and wind has resulted in its stunning textures and shapes. LODGING

We will be staying in a big house with 4 bedrooms, 7 beds (1 king beds, 1 queen bed, 1 double bed, 3 single beds, 1 sleeper sofa), 4 baths, a living room, a game room and a full kitchen. We will max out at 12 people. The house is 1h17m Grand Canyon, 45 minutes to Sedona, 2h22m to Lower Antelope Canyon and 2h19m from Phoenix airport (PHX).

GROUND TRANSPORTATION

Daily round trip transportation from the house to all attraction destinations is included. Round trip PHX airport transportation to the house is included if the flights are the same as listed above. If your arrival flight and/or departure flight are within 15 minutes of our flights indicated above, we can still accommodate you on airport transportation. We can use the vehicle to go out for dinners, and grocery shopping as well.


TRIP PLAN

Depart on May 22nd Wednesday 12:59 PM from JFK Airport. Please arrive at the airport at least 2 hours in advance to flight departure time.

Return on May 27th Sunday 11:40 PM from PHX Airport. We will plan to arrive at airport at least 2 hours before flight departure time.

This 6 days 5 nights Grand Canyon & Sedona trip includes: 2 days at Grand Canyon South Rim & East Rim, 2 days at Sedona, 1 day at Lower Antelope Canyon (extra cost), 5 nights of lodging at a big vacation house, two persons will share a king/queen/double bed. We will do our best to match your roommate(s). All ground transportation, including daily round trip transportation from house to national parks & other destinations, and to dinners & grocery shopping, and round trip airport transportation to and from the house if your flights are the same one mentioned above. Active Levels (Moderate): Average 2 to 4 miles hiking daily; less than 800 feets elevation gain.


TRIP ITINERARY

Day 1: (Lower Antelope Canyon)

Due to near sold out tour on other days, we will start the trip doing Lower Antelope Canyon tour first (All Upper Antelope Canyon tours have sold out during our trip). Exact cost of about $75. If we have time left, we can also visit Sunset Crater Volcano National Monument.

Day 2: (Grand Canyon) Explore the South Rim & Desert View Drive

Morning: Arrive at the South Rim. Start your day by arriving at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. The South Rim is the most popular and accessible area. Take in the awe-inspiring views from the Mather Point or Yavapai Point viewpoints.

Midday: Rim Trail and Visitor Center. Walk along the Rim Trail, which offers stunning vistas and photo opportunities. Visit the Grand Canyon Visitor Center to learn about the park’s geology, history, and wildlife.

Afternoon: Desert View Drive. Drive along the Desert View Drive to explore more viewpoints on East Rim. Don’t miss the iconic Desert View Watchtower for panoramic views of the canyon.

Day 3: (Grand Canyon) Hike Bright Angel and Village Exploration

Morning: Bright Angel Trail. Embark on a hike down the Bright Angel Trail. You can choose how far you’d like to hike based on your fitness level. Remember that hiking into the canyon requires proper preparation and plenty of water.

Midday: Grand Canyon Village. Explore Grand Canyon Village, home to historic buildings, shops, and restaurants. Visit Kolb Studio for art exhibits and stunning canyon views.

Afternoon: Hermit Road Shuttle Tour. Take the Hermit Road Shuttle to access viewpoints like Mohave Point, Pima Point, and Hermit’s Rest. Enjoy the scenic drive and short walks to viewpoints.

Day 4: (Sedona) Senic Drives, Hike Red Rock & Uptown Sedona

Morning: Self-guided driving tour. Discover Sedona’s scenic drives. Short day hike: Experience the stunning Red Rock (or the Broken Arrow Trail).

Afternoon: Meander around Uptown Sedona. Have lunch at Oaxaca or Cowboy Club, or take a picnic to Red Rock Crossing. Explore West Sedona for additional shops.

Evening (Optional): Drive up to Airport Mesa to watch the sunset.

Day 5: (Sedona) Hike Bell Rock, Explore Tlaquepaque & Hike West Fork

Morning: Hike Bell Rock or jeep tour (if didn’t do it on Day One - Extra cost).

Afternoon: Explore Tlaquepaque, Hozho, and Hillside Sedona. Have lunch at Oak Creek Brewery, El Rincon, or Secret Garden inside Tlaquepaque. Hike West Fork Oak Creek Trail. Optionally, enjoy an afternoon snack at Indian Gardens and visit the Chapel of the Holy Cross for beautiful views in the sun.

* Early Birds $399 above mentioned lodging, ground transportation package and entrance to above mentioned national parks & other destination. Antelope Canyon tour is additional cost. (Price will go up on April 30th or when 50% of all tickets are sold, whichever comes first). The cost is $200 less than typical price since this is our first group trip to these destinations although the host has been to all the locations mentioned, so book soon.
